KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Load Planning & Optimization:<\/p>\n
\tPlan daily, weekly, and monthly loads based on order volumes, customer requirements, and delivery schedules.
\n\tOptimize truck loads to ensure maximum trailer utilization and cost efficiency.
\n\tAssign loads to carriers and drivers using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).<\/p>\n
Routing & Scheduling:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop effective and time-sensitive delivery routes for company or third-party carriers.
\n\tMonitor real-time delivery progress and proactively manage any delays or issues.<\/p>\n
Carrier & Stakeholder Coordination:<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate with internal departments (sales, warehouse, procurement) to align load planning with operational needs.
\n\tLiaise with carriers to schedule pickups, resolve service issues, and confirm availability.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Documentation:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all shipments comply with local and international transportation regulations, including weight limits and safety standards.
\n\tPrepare accurate load documentation including bills of lading, manifests, and schedules.<\/p>\n
Data Analysis & Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tAnalyze freight costs, delivery performance, and route efficiency.
\n\tProvide insights and reports to improve service levels and reduce transport costs<\/p>\n
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:<\/p>\n
Key Skills & Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tStrong understanding of transportation and logistics operations
\n\tExcellent organizational and time management skills
\n\tProficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and route planning tools
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities
\n\tEffective communication and negotiation skills
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
\n\tKnowledge of DOT regulations and freight handling<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
\n\tMinimum 2\u20133 years experience in load planning, dispatching, or transportation coordination
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics software
\n\tExperience with ERP systems or WMS is a plus<\/p>\n
