\tWe are seeking experienced SAP HCM Consultants to join a high-impact project team supporting the full implementation of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) for South African Airways (SAA) in collaboration with IBM South Africa. This is a fixed-term engagement, beginning in October 2025, focused on delivering a comprehensive, end-to-end SAP HCM solution tailored for the aviation industry.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tImplement, configure, and support SAP HCM modules end-to-end, including:
\n\tEmployee Records & Personal Data Management
\n\tTime & Attendance Management (Leave, Shifts, Scheduling)
\n\tTalent Acquisition & Onboarding
\n\tPerformance Management & KPI Tracking
\n\tSuccession Planning & Workforce Mobility
\n\tLearning Management System (LMS) & E-Learning
\n\tCompensation, Payroll (Domestic, Expatriate, International), and Benefits
\n\tSelf-Service Portals (ESS\/MSS) \u2013 mobile responsive
\n\tEmployee Relations, Disciplinary & Case Management (e.g., CCMA)
\n\tCompliance Reporting and Advanced Analytics
\n\tOrganizational Structure Management
\n\tOnboard historical HR data from legacy SAP HR systems (e.g., positions, qualifications, training, uniforms).
\n\tIntegrate SAP HCM with group-shared services and comply with Transnet-specific payroll and pension formatting rules.
\n\tWork collaboratively with functional leads, technical teams, and project managers from IBM and the client.
\n\tProvide go-live and post-go-live support.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t5+ years experience with SAP HCM implementations across core and advanced modules
\n\tPrior experience working in or with government-owned entities (GOEs) or aviation sector
\n\tProven experience with full-cycle SAP HCM projects, including data migration and integration
\n\tStrong understanding of South African HR legislation and compliance requirements
\n\tAbility to configure, test, train users, and troubleshoot SAP HCM issues
\n\tSouth African nationality (preferred due to regulatory and project needs)<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tSAP HCM certification (associate or professional level)
\n\tPrior involvement in projects with South African Airways or related public sector entities
\n\tKnowledge of Transnet-specific payroll integration formats
