Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tThe Corrosion Specialist is responsible for performing and\/or oversight for all the Corrosion related inspections and repairs on the assigned assets. This includes annual surveys, rectifier inspections, bond inspections, probe and coupon inspections, atmospheric coating inspections and Close-Interval\/Depth of Cover surveys. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining all Corrosion related records and drawings for their assigned assets as well as performing installations, maintenance and monitoring of corrosion control systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tComplete all Corrosion related inspections according to regulatory requirements. Analyze data and develop mitigation actions and track to closure.
\n\tMaintain their NACE certifications and provide technical support for regulatory audits.\u00a0
\n\tWill be a member of the Corrosion team which consist of 7 Corrosion Specialist and the Corrosion Team Lead. They will be assigned two terminals in South Africa (Cape Town and Pretoria). They will work closely with local Operations team who operate the asset<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t5 years in the pipeline corrosion prevention field<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tEngineering related qualification or GED or equivalent experience. NACE\/AMPP CP Level 1 required<\/p>\n
Travel Requirement<\/p>\n
\tUp to 25% travel should be expected with this role<\/p>\n
