Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tThe IT Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users across the organization.
\n\tThis role ensures the smooth operation of hardware, software, and networking systems by troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.
\n\tThe ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, customer service experience, and a solid understanding of IT systems and applications.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tProvide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person \u2013 primary rule of engagement will be via a ticket.
\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on Windows and Mac operating systems.
\n\tInstall, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
\n\tSet up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
\n\tAssist with software installations, updates, and patch management.
\n\tMaintain IT asset inventory, ensuring accurate records of hardware and software.
\n\tSupport remote users with VPN connectivity and other remote access tools.
\n\tDocument IT support requests, solutions, and troubleshooting steps in a ticketing system.
\n\tAssist in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
\n\tEnsure compliance with company IT policies, security guidelines, and best practices.
\n\tProvide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics and best practices.
\n\tCollaborate with other IT team members to enhance overall IT service delivery.
\n\tAbility to manage printer services as and when needed.<\/p>\n
Required Skills & Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n\t2+ years of experience in IT desktop support, help desk, or similar roles.
\n\tStrong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
\n\tExperience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop support.
\n\tBasic understanding of networking concepts (TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
\n\tFamiliarity with IT security best practices and endpoint protection tools.
\n\tExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n\tStrong organizational, time management and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
\n\tAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
\n\tAbility to prioritize and easily adapt in a fast-paced environment.
\n\tMust meet deadlines, accomplish tasks as agreed upon time structures
\n\tCertifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft certifications are advantageous.
\n\tKnowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
\n\tExperience working in an ITIL-based service management environment.
\n\tPrior experience in an enterprise environment supporting 500+ users.<\/p>\n
Working Conditions:<\/p>\n
\tFull-time, on-site role.
\n\tMay require evening or weekend work for system maintenance.
\n\tAbility to lift and transport IT equipment.<\/p>\n
