RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Operational Task Supervision<\/p>\n
\tAssist the Farm Manager in coordinating and supervising daily farm production activities.
\n\tPlan and monitor tasks to ensure timely and quality completion.
\n\tMonitor and control operational costs related to tasks and inputs.<\/p>\n
Machinery and Equipment Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tConduct routine inspections of all farm equipment and implements prior to use.
\n\tIdentify and carry out basic repairs to avoid equipment failure and reduce downtime.
\n\tAdopt a preventative maintenance approach to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
\n\tEnsure correct and safe use of machinery and prevent misuse or abuse.<\/p>\n
Labour Supervision\u00a0(Fluent in Zulu is essential)<\/p>\n
\tAllocate workers to specific tasks in alignment with the farm\u2019s operational plans.
\n\tSupervise and manage both permanent and fixed-term contract employees for maximum productivity.
\n\tMonitor and maintain the quality of completed work.
\n\tApply basic disciplinary procedures when necessary in accordance with company policy.
\n\tFoster positive and respectful relationships with all employees, promoting teamwork and motivation.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum: National Diploma in Agriculture
\n\tIdeal: B.Tech in Agriculture<\/p>\n
Training:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
\n\tIdeal: Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tAt least 2 years in a similar role such as Farm Supervisor or Junior Farm Manager<\/p>\n
