\tRPO\u2019s client is seeking a skilled and strategically minded Senior Credit Risk Advisor to join their high-performing team in Durban.
\n\tThis role is ideal for a seasoned credit risk professional who can manage client risk across regions, develop teams, and contribute significantly to operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
\n\tYou will be responsible for leading credit risk initiatives, coaching a team, and driving excellence across all facets of financial risk management and advisory.<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage risk across national and regional client portfolios, ensuring early identification of threats
\n\tLead and mentor a team of credit risk and recovery specialists, promoting operational excellence
\n\tAdvise clients on credit insurance, financial policies, and business continuity strategies
\n\tConduct regular client visits, debtor meetings, and legal escalations where necessary
\n\tOversee credit applications, insurance claims, declarations, and reporting processes
\n\tCollaborate with attorneys, insurers, and internal teams to manage collections and recoveries
\n\tPromote full service offerings and identify opportunities for strategic partnerships
\n\tMonitor team and individual performance, budgets, and client satisfaction metrics<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or Business Management
\n\tNQF Level 7 or equivalent qualification
\n\tFSCA accreditation
\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 experience in credit risk management or advisory roles
\n\tPrevious leadership experience and exposure to credit insurers advantageous
\n\tStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
\n\tProficiency in financial reporting and MS Office<\/p>\n
