KONE is looking for qualified Maintenance Technicians in Pretoria, South Africa. Our team comprises maintenance professionals who provide on-site customer service to ensure our equipment’s smooth and safe operation. We seek a service-minded Maintenance Technician to provide our customers with professional elevator and escalator maintenance service.<\/p>\n
In this role, you will be at the core of KONE – an everyday hero who makes people’s lives easier. You will ensure quality service, improve equipment safety and performance, and promote regular and proactive on-site communication with customers and the people using the equipment.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for customer satisfaction through quality of service and regular, proactive, and precise on-site communication.
\n\tResponsible for accurate and real-time back reporting of work performed.
\n\tMaintain excellent relationships with the customers, the contact person, and end-users on site.
\n\tManage the site environment during service operations.
\n\tIdentification of site risks, and timely communication of any such occurrences.
\n\tIdentifying \u201cunplanned\u201d service repairs based on the equipment needs, contacting the on-site contact person, getting his approval if not covered by the contract, and performing them.
\n\tManagement of PAR stock levels (shelving, inventory, stock transfer) and timely issuance of replenishment orders.
\n\tSubmit timesheets based on the execution.<\/p>\n
Skills & Experience:<\/p>\n
\tSuccessful candidate must live in Pretoria.
\n\tOne or more of the following qualifications:
\n\tRed seal trade test certificate lift mechanic.
\n\tCompleted NQF level 4 certification with apprenticeship program (minimum 4 years).
\n\tCompleted Electrical\/Mechanical Engineer Diploma\/Degree with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic.
\n\tCompleted NQF level 5 certification with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic.
\n\tGood communication skills with basic IT skills.<\/p>\n
