\tA leading insurance and wealth management company is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in FSP-regulated environments. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory reporting, and financial operations in line with FSCA requirements.

Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and documentation standards.
\n\tMonitor supplier payments and support procurement tasks as needed.
\n\tOversee journals, reconciliations, and accuracy of financial data.
\n\tManage intercompany, payroll, and customer\/supplier balances.
\n\tPrepare management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
\n\tMaintain reports and improve reporting templates.
\n\tValidate revenue calculations and supporting data.
\n\tManage collections and track Assets Under Management.
\n\tPrepare and review cash flow forecasts and financial ratios.
\n\tOversee treasury tasks and authorize payments if required.
\n\tPrepare VAT, tax returns, and SARS reconciliations.
\n\tEnsure timely tax payments and address audit queries.
\n\tProvide required audit information and support.
\n\tDraft and finalize annual financial statements.
\n\tManage daily execution of assigned projects.
\n\tTrack progress and ensure deliverables are met.
\n\tParticipate in meetings and contribute to strategic input.
\n\tTrain staff and communicate complex matters clearly.
\n\tExecute additional duties as directed by the division.
\n\tAdapt to changing business needs and requirements.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or equivalent (e.g., BCom or BCompt).
\n\tCompleted SAICA or SAIPA articles.
\n\tAccountant I: Articles or 5+ years\u2019 experience in accounting\/bookkeeping.
\n\tAccountant II: Articles plus 3+ years\u2019 experience, or 8+ years total accounting experience.
\n\tExperience in a Financial Services Provider (FSP) environment is essential.
\n\tKnowledge of FSCA regulatory requirements.
\n\tProficient in SAGE X3, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
\n\tStrong accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
\n\tExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.
\n\tAble to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
\n\tFlexible to work outside normal business hours when needed.
\n\tHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.<\/p>\n
