Qualifying Criteria:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent qualifications
\n\tTrade Test Certificate: Instrument Mechanician (Red Seal).
\n\tElectrical or Instrumentation Engineering studies\u00a0would be an advantage.
\n\tMinimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Metallurgical Plant\u00a0or heavy industrial environment.
\n\tExperience with SCADA\/HMI systems.
\n\tRockwell (Allen Bradley) PLC Programming.
\n\tKnowledge of Networking
\n\tSound knowledge of Instrumentation standards and safety practices.
\n\tAbility to troubleshoot and repair control systems and instrumentation faults.
\n\tProficient in the use of calibration tools and test instruments.
\n\tComputer literacy and experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, Pragma).
\n\tStandby and Callout duties and ability to work with minimum supervision
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tSouth African Citizenship
\n\tClear Criminal Record<\/p>\n
\u00a0Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPerform maintenance, fault-finding, and calibration on a wide range of field instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level transmitters, etc.).
\n\tEnsure accurate functioning of PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control systems.
\n\tConduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
\n\tInterpret technical diagrams, loop drawings, and P&IDs.
\n\tMaintain documentation and records of all instrumentation work.
\n\tEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
\n\tProvide technical support during plant shutdowns, projects, and commissioning.
\n\tConduct all work according to required standards and specifications
