Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
ALIGN AND PLAN<\/p>\n
\tOwn the definition and management of the IT Strategy that aligns with the business strategy and thereby providing IT leadership
\n\tDesign the overall IT Operating model and direct all the IT capabilities, i.e.
\n\tService Planning, Service Development, Cyber Security and Service Management
\n\tLeads all IT-related contractual obligations, i.e. negotiating, renewing or terminating contracts
\n\tDesigns, establishes, and maintains the IT organisational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organisation’s goals and objectives
\n\tDevelops, manages and reports against annual budgets and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses
\n\tEffectively managing relationships, both internally and externally
\n\tDevelops and manages a proper IT Risk framework that aligns with the business\u2019 chosen risk methodology with the aim of mitigating risk for the business
\n\tAnalyse and ensure development of IT alignment to revenue generating business strategies in all key business lines<\/p>\n
DESIGN AND BUILD<\/p>\n
\tAccountable and responsible for all IT-related projects in terms of the management from inception to successful implementation.
\n\tEnsure that new or changed services are designed and documented.
\n\tRecommends and participates in the development of policies and procedures – may serve on planning and policy-making committees.
\n\tAccountable for IT conceptualisation, innovation, design and build in support of new business lines to enable delivery of revenue targets<\/p>\n
OPERATE AND SUPPORT<\/p>\n
\tDevelop, manages and reports on key IT metrics to the COO and other executive committees.
\n\tDirecting the overall daily IT functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and business requirements and ensuring a resilient business.
\n\tEnsures disaster recovery planning, testing and capabilities that will ensure Access Bank\u2019s ability to perform its functions in a minimally disrupted manner during such an event at a level acceptable to the Bank, industry and key regulators.
\n\tRepresents the organisation at various internal forums, as well as externally at industry forums and regulatory agencies
\n\tMonitors and evaluates operational effectiveness and effect changes required for improvement.
\n\tOwnership and management of technical outsourced, ITAAS and other vendor partners (in cooperation with the relevant business owner) to ensure contract adherence, delivery against service standards and customer expectations.
\n\tEnsure sufficient user support, training and communication is in place to manage organizational culture and behavior relating to cyber security<\/p>\n
PEOPLE<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the efficient management of the IT team to maintain a high standard of excellence
\n\tDevelopment of direct subordinates to ensure consistent delivery throughout the business unit
\n\tForm a key component of the Operations Cluster overall leadership team<\/p>\n
Academic Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification, preferably IT related
\n\tA commerce-related or equivalent qualification would be advantageous<\/p>\n
Work Experience:<\/p>\n
\tExtensive (10+) years IT management experience in a finance or customer focused environment
\n\tMinimum of 3 \u2013 5 years\u2019 experience as CIO \/ Head: IT or senior IT management role in the Banking Industry
\n\tIT Background gained in small and medium banks preferable
\n\tInformation Security experience (ISO 27001)
\n\tIT Service Management (ISO 20000) experience
\n\tExtensive knowledge of banking technologies<\/p>\n
