\tFine Chemicals Corporation requires the services of a Research Chemist for our Technical Support & Development Department.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nOverview<\/p>\n
\tTo develop efficient and environmentally acceptable synthetic processes for the manufacturing of new products.\u00a0
\n\tTo solve problems referred to by the Production and Quality Control Departments.
\n\tTo isolate, synthesize, and identify impurities present in the products.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tTo perform chemical experiments (including the use of appropriate analytical techniques) directed towards process troubleshooting and optimization investigations.
\n\tTo perform chemical experiments towards laboratory scale API synthetic and process development.
\n\tTo compile reports based on completed work.
\n\tAssist in the compilation of project plans, manufacturing protocols, and other technical documents.<\/p>\n
Skills Required<\/p>\n
Background\/Experience<\/p>\n
\tEducational requirement of BSc (Hons) Chemistry (with proven, above-average ability in organic chemistry) or an equivalent qualification.
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience in a synthetic chemistry laboratory (organic synthesis experience will be a differentiating advantage). Experience gained during post-grad qualification is applicable.\u00a0
\n\tExperience with HPLC, LC-MS, or GC-MS will be a differentiating advantage.
\n\tMust have an analytical mindset.
\n\tExperience with and willingness to adhere to safe laboratory practices<\/p>\n
