Purpose Statement<\/p>\n
\tTo provide a proactive business banking sales and service management function that will retain and grow a portfolio of business clients by identifying and implementing value adding and specialised business banking financial products solutions from a range of standard and\/or customized offerings.<\/p>\n
Experience
\nMinimum:<\/p>\n
\tBanking experience of at least 5 years, of which 3 years should have been spent in the Business Banking environment.
\n\tExperience of managing a complex portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus.
\n\tSignificant experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications\u00a0
\n\tCost control and sales management\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ideal:<\/p>\n
\t1-2 years managerial \/leadership experience
\n\t1-2 years managing a small business centre\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications (Minimum)<\/p>\n
\tA relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance<\/p>\n
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Finance<\/p>\n
Knowledge
\nMinimum:<\/p>\n
\tPrinciples and practices of business economics and the current business economic environment.\u00a0
\n\tCustomer relationship management (CRM) principles and techniques
\n\tDifferent industry sectors and sector risk profiles\/ trends; this includes an understanding of the impact of climatic conditions on the agricultural market (if there are agric clients in the portfolio).\u00a0
\n\tLocal market (LM) sales principles and practices to manage and optimise retention and growth within the portfolio.\u00a0
\n\tGeneral banking practices and procedures.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of competitor product offerings\/ channels\/ operational and marketing tactics.\u00a0
\n\tCredit principles and practices, including an understanding of credit application, securities\u00a0
\n\tLegal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships etc.) in the commercial market and the legislative restrictions and requirements governing these from a financial services perspective.\u00a0
\n\tFinancial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).\u00a0
\n\tAble to extract, analyse and apply CRM insights to influence the client management approach and strategy\u00a0
\n\tGeneral understanding of how Business Banking operates, as well as understanding the business risks, industry risks and financial requirements pertaining to the business market<\/p>\n

\n\tMulti-level products available and pricing structures
\n\tCurrent taxation laws as they apply to customers.\u00a0
