Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tBe able to measure,
\n\tDevelop cost estimates (bill of quantities), project budgets, and tender documentation
\n\tConduct feasibility and cost-risk evaluations
\n\tAdminister contracts, specifically under NEC 3 ECC frameworks
\n\tMonitor project costs, produce cost reports, and implement savings strategies
\n\tPrepare valuations, progress claims, and final accounts
\n\tCollaborate with cross-disciplinary teams for accurate cost planning
\n\tConduct weekly site visits for inspection, cost validation, and reporting
\n\tEnsure compliance with applicable regulations, safety, and quality standards
\n\tUndertake escalation calculations and reconciliations<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Registration<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or BTech)
\n\tProfessional registration as a\u00a0PrQS\u00a0with SACQSP or equivalent body<\/p>\n
Skills & Experience<\/p>\n
\t10 + years\u2019 quantity surveying experience, with minimum 5 years in mining
\n\tProven track record in the measurement of civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and control & instrumentation (C&I) works
\n\tStrong working knowledge of NEC 3 ECC contract conditions
\n\tProficiency in cost management systems (e.g. CCS Candy, BuildSmart, MS Project)
\n\tSkilled in stakeholder engagement, cost reporting, and commercial negotiation
\n\tExperience in underground mining environments
\n\tCapable of operating in remote and site-based settings<\/p>\n
