As a Business Development Officer at Royal Canin, you will play a vital role in promoting and developing our general business while selling the South African Royal Canin range of products to identified clientele within the specialized pet food market and VET segment. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth and success of our brand in the veterinary channel.<\/p>\n
What are we looking for?<\/p>\n
\tIdeally, you will hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (DipVetNurs).
\n\tYou should have a minimum of 5 years of field sales experience in a technical environment, particularly within the veterinary industry.
\n\tWe are looking for someone who is proficient in computer literacy, including Excel, Word, E-Mail, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
\n\tA valid South African driver\u2019s license is essential, along with a willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.<\/p>\n
What will be your key responsibilities?<\/p>\n
\tAchieve Sales Targets: Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding established targets within the veterinary channel.
\n\tClient Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary practice staff, including vets, nurses, and receptionists, ensuring excellent client support and product knowledge.
\n\tPromote Royal Canin Products: Actively promote the Royal Canin product range through effective merchandising and marketing tools.
\n\tGrowth Rewards Program: Manage and drive the Growth Rewards Program, ensuring engagement and participation from clients.
\n\tTraining and Support: Provide training and product knowledge to veterinary staff and clients, enhancing their understanding of our offerings.
\n\tMarket Analysis: Monitor competition and gather marketplace information to inform sales strategies and recommend changes in products and policies as needed.
\n\tEvent Participation: Attend in-store promotions, commercial events, breeder events, and shows to promote products and provide information to potential clients.
\n\tClient Records Management: Maintain and update client records, produce necessary reports, and respond promptly to client inquiries and requests.
\n\tCollaboration: Work closely with the sales team and management to strategize and implement effective sales techniques and client engagement practices.<\/p>\n
