Position Overview:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team for a maternity cover.
\n\tThe ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll while coordinating closely with operational teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain up-to-date records.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Payroll Processing:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and process weekly\/monthly payroll accurately and on time
\n\tEnsure correct calculations of salaries, wages, deductions, and overtime
\n\tUploading of payments to banking platform
\n\tGetting approval and payment<\/p>\n
Rosters & Coordination:<\/p>\n
\tReview staff rosters for accuracy and alignment with payroll
\n\tLiaise with the operational team to query and resolve discrepancies in timesheets and schedules<\/p>\n
System Management:<\/p>\n
\tImport payroll data into the payroll system (e.g. Sage)
\n\tMaintain employee payroll records and update changes promptly<\/p>\n
Compliance & Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tSubmit statutory returns (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
\n\tPrepare and submit EMP201s and assist with EMP501 reconciliations and IRP5 submissions
\n\tEnsure compliance with SARS and Department of Labour regulations<\/p>\n
Support Functions:<\/p>\n
\tGenerate payslips and distribute securely
\n\tHandle employee payroll queries with professionalism and confidentiality
\n\tAssist in audits and reporting as required<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tProven experience in payroll administration
\n\tStrong knowledge of South African tax and labour laws
\n\tProficiency in payroll software and Excel
\n\tExcellent attention to detail and time management
\n\tStrong communication and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n
