Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tAs a waiter you must be able to perform all duties of a Busser and a Food Runner. \u00a0A Waiter must be able to multi task, prioritize and remain calm under pressure. \u00a0As a Waiter you are responsible primarily for taking care of the tables in your section and giving your guests the best possible service<\/p>\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate effectively and respectfully to guests on all levels.
\n\tCommunicate effectively and respectfully to all members of staff.
\n\tMulti task and prioritise your work.
\n\tExplain the Nobu concept effectively.
\n\tUnderstand timing of dishes and order your food accordingly.
\n\tUnderstand out times and handle your tables accordingly.
\n\tRead tables and understand guests\u2019 needs and dislikes.
\n\tTake orders correctly and communicate them to the relevant sections.
\n\tFollow up your orders.
\n\tCarry trays confidently and comfortably.
\n\tCarry plates confidently and comfortably.
\n\tHave full knowledge of the food menu.
\n\tHave full knowledge of the bar and sake bar products.<\/p>\n
Throughout the evening you must also be checking the following: –<\/p>\n
\tStations that need clearance.
\n\tOther Waiters that may need your assistance.
\n\tEmpty glasses on tables.
\n\tEmpty plates on tables.
\n\tGuests that may need assistance.
\n\tDrinks that need to be picked up from the bar and sake bar.
\n\tDishes that need to be picked up from the kitchen or sushi bar.
\n\tTable maintenance.
\n\tReport to your superior if you notice a guest that may be under 18yrs of age and are ordering or drinking alcoholic beverages.<\/p>\n
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements<\/p>\n
\tFluent in written and spoken English
\n\tTo be able work well under pressure and able to work shifts
\n\t2 years\u2019 experience in a similar capacity
\n\tTo be able to communicate effectively and do multi tasks
\n\tStrong beverage knowledge<\/p>\n
