\tAs part of our apprenticeship program, VKB Milling offers various apprenticeships. In this role, you will receive hands-on training to develop the skills needed to become a certified Millwright. You will assist experienced Millwrights in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAssist with installing, assembling, and dismantling machinery and mechanical equipment.
\n\tPerform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other equipment.
\n\tLearn to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
\n\tUse hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments under supervision.
\n\tAlign machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, and measuring tools.
\n\tClean and lubricate parts and equipment as directed.
\n\tMaintain a clean and safe work environment.
\n\tAttend and participate in required classroom training sessions.
\n\tFollow safety protocols and company policies at all times<\/p>\n
\u00a0Job Requirement<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ NQF 4
\n\tPrevious experience in construction, maintenance, or mechanical trades.
\n\tEnrolled in or completion of a pre-apprenticeship program.
\n\tA passion for maintenance
\n\tAbility to work in outdoor environments and physical conditions
\n\tStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn
\n\tGood communication and teamwork skills
\n\tAbility to follow instructions and work under supervision
\n\tA positive attitude and a strong work ethic<\/p>\n
