Minimum Requirements…<\/p>\n
Essential<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/Grade 12
\n\tWilling and able to work retail hours
\n\tComputer literate in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)<\/p>\n
Advantage:<\/p>\n
\tPrevious working experience within the beauty environment<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities…<\/p>\n
Stock Control:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the stock on the shelves has not reached sell by dates.
\n\tEnsure full range of products are on the shelves at all times.
\n\tParticipate in department stock takes, when requested.
\n\tKeep the storeroom organised, neat and tidy.
\n\tReport low stock levels, items that are out of stock, damaged stock and expired stock to management.
\n\tFacilitate the rotation of stock on a regular basis and adhere to Dis-Chem stock control procedures.
\n\tIdentify and report damaged and expired immediately to one of the store management team members.
\n\tEnsure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock and taken to designated area.
\n\tRestock merchandise when needed to ensure maximum sales.<\/p>\n
Merchandising:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain a high standard of cleanliness, merchandising and displays must be maintained in both the window area and throughout the store.
\n\tPresent displays in an attractive manner.
\n\tDemonstrate products through, makeovers, cosmetic demonstrations, spray promotions or activities.
\n\tCorrectly price and label all relevant goods.
\n\tWork towards achieving sales targets for different vendors and brands within the Cosmetics Department.
\n\tAdhere to stock layout principles.
\n\tMerchandising displays in the cosmetics area must be faces up and stocked up.
\n\tAssist with the loading and off-loading of stock, when needed.
\n\tReport all price discrepancies to management.<\/p>\n
Customer Service:<\/p>\n
\tTo provide friendly, helpful and courteous assistance and advice to all customers.
\n\tProcess payments at a Cosmetics Department Point of Sales (POS).
\n\tGive advice to customers but do not force customers to change their preferable brand.
\n\tAll customer stock queries must be dealt with and resolved.<\/p>\n
