The Team and Scope<\/p>\n
\tYou\u2019ll join a small, agile people team (2 in HR, 3 in Talent) supporting a global workforce of 300, with the majority based in Cape Town, and teams in London and Colombia.
\n\tYou\u2019ll work closely with leaders across all levels of the business, providing hands-on HR support and strategic guidance.
\n\tInitially, there will be a strong focus on People Operations and Employee Relations (ER\/IR) \u2014 ensuring our foundations are solid, scalable, and compliant. You\u2019ll need to be analytical, legally savvy, and able to apply pragmatic solutions to complex situations.<\/p>\n
What you’ll be doing:<\/p>\n
\tOwn the employee journey, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between across our current and future locations.
\n\tBe the go-to HR expert across a range of issues: absence management, performance, grievances, disciplinaries, and CCMA\/tribunals. You\u2019ll provide guidance and support with a focus on practical, business-aligned solutions that are resolved quickly with minimal business risk.
\n\tSupport managers who are at varying stages of their leadership journey, helping them drive strong performance and build high-functioning teams.
\n\tEnsure full compliance with South African regulations, including BBBEE, payroll, benefits, and employment law.
\n\tOversee and support the People Operations Manager \u2013 ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll, benefits, and HR admin and that we have the right processes and systems in place to be fully compliant and able to scale.
\n\tStay on top of the numbers, digging into key business metrics, pulling together useful reports, spotting trends, and sharing insights that help the business make better decisions.
\n\tCollaborate across teams to streamline and automate processes, driving continuous improvement in how we work.
\n\tLead and support HR projects as needed \u2014 e.g., supporting international expansion by setting up compliant policies, contracts, and infrastructure in new markets.<\/p>\n
What we think you’ll need to be successful in the role;<\/p>\n
\tProven, hands-on HR experience in high-growth, fast-moving environments.
\n\tYou’ll be used to working in small, highly visible teams with lots of accountability and rolling up your sleeves and delivering good results quickly.
\n\tStrong HR business partnering background, with extensive experience in ER\/IR (including CCMA) and BBBEE.
\n\tExcellent working knowledge of South African labour law and how to apply it in a commercial, pragmatic way. A willingness and capability to pick up labour law quickly in the UK and new territories.
\n\tFamiliarity with HR systems and tools, with a passion for automation, reporting, and improving user experience.
\n\tSolution-focused and action-oriented, you know how to deliver meaningful, high-impact work at pace, without getting bogged down.
\n\tGreat communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, whether you\u2019re speaking with senior leaders or front-line teams.
\n\tCommercially minded, you enjoy backing things up with the numbers. You understand key people and culture metrics and, importantly, how to measure and interpret them to support the business.
\n\tExceptional attention to detail, plus the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay organised in a busy, fast-changing environment.
\n\tA professional approach, you understand the value of leading by example. Our
