\n\tNovus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint an Electronic Technician within the Technical and Engineering department to ensure the execution of electrical and electronic installations and maintenance. \u00a0The successful incumbent will report to the Foreman: Electrical.<\/p>\n
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for the execution of project driven electrical and electronic installations and maintenance according to SABS regulations
\n\tAssess the maintenance and electrical requirements of jobs assigned and allocated
\n\tExecute and attend to electrical maintenance tasks, equipment and breakdowns
\n\tAdhere to safety procedures, operation of equipment and report unsafe practices
\n\tRegularly conduct plant inspections and carry out planned maintenance schedules
\n\tConduct monthly safety inspection of equipment
\n\tProviding technical support to the mechanical and production departments
\n\tFault inspection of machinery including PLC, AC and DC drives
\n\tWilling to work on standby based on operational requirements<\/p>\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Educational Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tN6, T3 or S4 certificate or equivalent electrical trade qualification<\/p>\n
Experience Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAt least 5 years\u2019 experience within an electrical\/electronic maintenance environment is essential
\n\tKnowledge of occupational health and safety standards, electrical regulations as well as applicable municipal by laws
\n\tKnowledge of and exposure to fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment will be an advantage
\n\tKnowledge of computerized maintenance systems
\n\tThe incumbent must have gained skills and knowledge in a FMCG environment in the following areas: printed circuit board to component \u00a0level; PLC programming; project management; AC and DC drives and experience working with contractors and suppliers<\/p>\n
