\tWe’re looking for a Proposal and Contract Specialist to grow our service sales business in Southern and East Africa. This role involves developing quotes, contracts, and proposals for Siemens Energy clients. Responsibilities include reviewing customer requests, selecting equipment, and negotiating commercial contracts. The position supports the Sales Manager in driving energy transition initiatives and managing the bid process effectively.<\/p>\n
How You\u2019ll Make an Impact<\/p>\n
\tDeveloping, managing, and delivering support services to the organization’s sales force
\n\tPreparation of cost estimates and offer calculations
\n\tPreparation of customer quotations
\n\tPrepare commercial & technical offers
\n\tSupport sales staff in pre-tender & post-tender phase
\n\tSupport sales staff with tender clarifications with the customer
\n\tProcessing orders from customers and resolving complaints
\n\tAdvising customers on product shortages, encouraged delivery dates, price changes, etc.
\n\tActing as liaison between customers, production, and distribution departments
\n\tSelecting, managing, and applying sales-related systems & databases (e.g., CRM: customer relationship management systems, SAP, etc.)
\n\tAssisting sales teams with individual account and sales territory planning
\n\tAssisting sales teams with sales reporting
\n\tInternal coordination with engineering and procurement to ensure timely delivery of offers
\n\tEnsure all processes align with LoA processes and follow regulations and company policies
\n\tDocumentation and quality management of customer offers
\n\tReview of customer commercial contracts to align with Siemens Energy terms and conditions<\/p>\n
What You Bring<\/p>\n
\tBEng\/BSc\/BTech\/N6 in an engineering field (preferably mechanical)
\n\tMinimum 10 years (Level 3) of technical\/sales-related experience with a proven track record, preferably in the rotating equipment or the oil & gas sector
\n\tExpertise in rotating equipment
\n\tAdvanced level of English
\n\tAbility to use MS-Office tools, Salesforce, and SAP at an advanced level
\n\tThe ability to understand technical documentation and drawings
\n\tAnalytical thinking, decision making, change orientation, and good communication skills
\n\tA good teamwork spirit; open, proactive, and hardworking
\n\tDecisiveness with strong planning and facilitating skills
\n\tEnthusiastic, customer-focused, resourceful, and creative
\n\tExperience in product, service, and solution businesses
\n\tProficiency in understanding and driving the sales process through its phases
\n\tSkilled in contract knowledge and cross-border transactions
\n\tAbility to plan, identify longer-term objectives for our customers, set SMART objectives, and anticipate customer reactions and behaviours
\n\tAbility to calculate and articulate our business benefit, have tough discussions with customers and internal colleagues (resolution skills), negotiate, and understand the psychology of customer behaviours
\n\tPassion for energy and rotating equipment
\n\tPositive & can-do attitude
\n\tDedicated and motivated
\n\tPersistence to get things done and achieve results
\n\tExcellent communication skills, active listening, clear and concise speech, appropriate volume, pitch, pause, intonation, and intensity<\/p>\n
