Minimum Qualifications \/ Experience<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 certificate
\n\tMinimum qualification National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering,
\n\tBlasting Engineering, or a related field.
\n\tMust pass Afrimat Medical fitness certification
\n\tValid SA ID
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s License
\n\tMust be effective in using MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) as a minimum<\/p>\n
Competencies (not limited to):<\/p>\n
\tBasic understanding of blasting theory, mining operations, and relevant legislation (MHSA).
\n\tStrong interest in explosives engineering, rock fragmentation, and mining operations
\n\tPrevious exposure to mining or blasting operations
\n\tUnderstanding of blasting software (Blastmap, ViewShot) will be an advantage
\n\tNeeds to have a valid DMRE blasting ticket
\n\tGood understanding of Shocktube detonators, Electronics detonators, and electronic
\n\tblasting equipment
\n\tBasic understanding of blasting theory, mining operations, and relevant legislation (MHSA)
\n\tOutstanding written and verbal communication skills
\n\tAdaptable to change
\n\tAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment
\n\tAbility to communicate complex ideas effectively
\n\tMust be analytical and a problem solver
\n\tMust be a fast learner
\n\tThis is a remote site-based position, with limited office access
\n\tThe candidate must be able to travel to various sites occasionally<\/p>\n
