\n\tPhysically monitor production process.
\n\tConduct visual inspections on the process and equipment.
\n\tReport process deviations to the Foreman.
\n\tCommunicate and assist team members in controlling the process.
\n\tCompile relevant area shift report at end of shift.
\n\tExamine equipment and complete safety checklist.
\n\tReport all at risk behaviors and unsafe conditions to the Foreman.
\n\tMaintain required housekeeping standards.
\n\tConduct basic fault finding (obvious faults).
\n\tApplies Standard Operating Procedures.
\n\tUnderstand equipment failure modes and defect identification and reporting.
\n\tDemonstrate understanding of how equipment functions.
\n\tHazard identification.
\n\tConduct safety management system inspections, e.g. OSHA, ISO 14000\/18000.
\n\tConduct basic risk assessments.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and Science
\n\tPrepared to work shifts and to change shift on a short notice.
\n\tPrepared to do shift cover and work overtime during day-off including weekends.
\n\tExperience in a production environment.
\n\tRelated exposure on a chemical plant and experience as a Process Controller would be an advantage.<\/p>\n
