\tThe ideal candidate for this role will be responsible to implement, facilitate, guide and audit compliance within the Occupational Health and Safety, Maintenance, Security and Quality Guidelines.
\n\tThe incumbent will need to ensure that all the HomeChoice Showrooms are compliant with the current legislation, HC Minimum SHERQ Standards and Policies to ensure limited risk.<\/p>\n

\n\tInspect, Audit and Evaluate effectiveness of the H&S system.
\n\tArrange monthly SHE Meetings.
\n\tEnsure budget allocation to implement the H&S system.
\n\tImplement and use the MANGO SHERQ Online Management system to control and manage the relevant risks.
\n\tEnsure continuous improvements, corrective actions and new initiatives implemented.
\n\tNB: Ongoing reduction of IOD’s \/ DIFR’s year on year – Target Zero Injuries.

Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tIdentify Maintenance Hazards and Risks
\n\tEnsure appropriate controls to manage the maintenance risks implemented and actioned.
\n\tTraining of all maintenance personnel in Safe Working Processes.
\n\tEnsure Maintenance comply to relevant OHS Act Regulations & Local Bylaws
\n\tEnsure compliance to SANS Standards on building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, fire & security systems etc.
\n\tInspect, Audit and implement continuous improvements and corrective actions for all gaps and defects identified.<\/p>\n
Environmental<\/p>\n
\tIdentify Environmental Aspects and Impacts
\n\tEnsure appropriate controls implemented to manage the environmental impacts to ensure compliance to NEMA & ISO 14001:2015
\n\tManaging Waste Contractors to ensure compliance.
\n\tIdentify waste streams and implement recycling strategy to achieve ZERO waste to Landfill.
\n\tInspect, Audit and implement continuous improvements and corrective actions for all gaps and defects identified.

Quality<\/p>\n

\n\tImplement systems, procedures and checks to ensure zero pilferage, theft and or robberies occur.

Business Continuity<\/p>\n
\tImplement appropriate BCM procedures and plans.
\n\tReview and train employees on BCM Plans and actions.
\n\tEnsure compliance to ISO22301 guidelines.
\n\tUpdating emergency contacts.
\n\tInternal audit on compliance.<\/p>\n
Quarterly and yearly assessments<\/p>\n
\tCarry out monthly & quarterly audits and assessment to ensure compliance.
\n\tAll stores to be audited at least twice a year.
\n\tAssist with monthly inspections and compliance audits at third party vendors.<\/p>\n
Meetings<\/p>\n
\tConduct Health and Safety \/ Mango meetings monthly.
\n\tArrange and ensure security meetings on a monthly basis.
\n\tGeneral Area Manager meetings and feedback on inspection findings.
\n\tGeneral reporting of store audits.
\n\tMinutes of meetings
\n\tMonthly reports on Mango events etc.<\/p>\n
Adhoc Tasks<\/p>\n
\tAssist the facilities team with any admin or additional duties as and when the need arises.<\/p>\n
HR & IR Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist with any HR \/ IT Investigations and hearings.
\n\tCompile investigation packs for Disciplinary Hearings.
\n\tProsecute and our Chair Disciplinary Hearings<\/p>\n
Finance<\/p>\n
\tManage the entire maintenance and SHERQ budget.
\n\tArrange adhoc maintenance and repair work.
\n\tManage SHERQ Training budget.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
What you\u2019ll need to do this role<\/p>\n
\tRelevant Diploma (Minimum) – Degree (Advantage)
\n\tMust have a vehicle license min EB \/ Code 8.
\n\tAt least 2-5 years\u2019 experience within a safety administrative role and or acting as an SHE Representative.
\n\tQualified (certification) and acted as a First Aid, Fire Fighting and H&S Rep is essential.
\n\tAt least 2-3 years previous experience within a Health and Safety Role where Hazards, Risks was identified, and Controls implemented.
\n\tAt least 2-4 years\u2019 working experience within a facilities department and have technical knowledge of facility management and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, fire and security systems.
\n\tKnowledge of and experience in managing permanent and temp contractors i.e., Adhoc Maintenance, Contract Security, Cleaning and Labour Brokers.
\n\tQualified in ISO 45001:2018 \/ ISO 14001:2015 \/ ISO 9001:2015 and the implementation of the ISO systems via the Mango online SHERQ Management system.
\n\tKnowledge to develop, implement and manage a SHERQ Budget.
\n\tExperience in working as part of a team to implement and complete projects as per required deadlines and budget
\n\t5+ Years Extensive Knowledge of Security Systems, CCTV & Alarm systems.
\n\tKnowledge and understanding how to do Cash and Fraud Investigations.
\n\tAble to travel and away from home for weeks at a time.
\n\tWilling and able to work remotely from home if and when required.<\/p>\n
