Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBCom Accounting or BCom Honours.
\n\tCompleted SAICA\/AGA(SA) or SAIPA training contract.
\n\tRegistered PA(SA) or AGA(SA).
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 post-articles experience, in independent reviews and AFS compilation.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial Accounting and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tPrepare accounting records and financial statements for various entities (including trusts, companies, close corporations).
\n\tCompile Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.
\n\tManage the bookkeeping function, including capturing from source documents.
\n\tPrepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
\n\tComplete financial transaction reconciliations and ensure accuracy of ledgers.<\/p>\n
Independent Reviews and Compilations<\/p>\n
\tPerform Independent Review engagements (ISRE 2400) for various client entities.
\n\tConduct Compilation engagements (ISRS 4410), with a particular focus on trusts.
\n\tEnsure engagements meet professional and regulatory standards.
\n\tMaintain quality control and complete documentation within required timelines.<\/p>\n
Taxation and Compliance<\/p>\n
\tPerform tax computations for individuals, companies, close corporations, and trusts.
\n\tMaintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and SARS processes.<\/p>\n
Client Relationship Management<\/p>\n
\tAct as primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
\n\tRespond to and resolve client queries efficiently and professionally.
\n\tCommunicate regularly with clients regarding their compliance, accounting, and tax matters.
\n\tAttend meetings with clients to review financial statements and tax matters.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership and Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tSupport junior team members with technical guidance and mentoring.
\n\tOversee and review work performed by junior staff to ensure quality and accuracy.
\n\tCollaborate with colleagues across departments for seamless client service delivery.
\n\tSupport firm initiatives including internal projects, training, and knowledge-sharing.<\/p>\n
Systems and Technology<\/p>\n
\tUse and maintain proficiency in:
\n\tCaseWare for financial statement preparation
\n\tGreatsoft for tax administration
\n\tPastel, SAGE and Xero for accounting
\n\tSARS eFiling for compliance processes.<\/p>\n
