{"id":15117,"date":"2025-07-30T14:00:21","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T14:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/financial-portfolio-manager-broker-consultant-pg10-sanlam-connect-east-coast-umhlanga-re-run-branch-manager-ne\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T00:25:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T00:25:15","slug":"financial-portfolio-manager-broker-consultant-pg10-sanlam-connect-east-coast-umhlanga-re-run-branch-manager-ne","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=15117","title":{"rendered":"Financial Portfolio Manager \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Broker Consultant (PG10): Sanlam Connect East Coast :Umhlanga Re-run \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Branch Manager &#8211; Nelspruit \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Branch Manager &#8211; Rustenburg\/Mafikeng \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Branch Manager &#8211; Vryburg \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Branch Manager &#8211; Bloemfontein \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Team Leader: Operations &amp; Administration &#8211; LISP \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Retail Branch Manager- Kwa Mashu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What will you do?<\/p>\n<p>\tThis is a 12-months Fixed-Term Contract role.<br \/>\n\tResponsibile for the Financial portfolio management of SAREA including valuations, financials, treasury and regulatory reporting for the vehicle which it advises, Sanlam Africa Core Real Estate Investments Limited (SACREIL), domiciled in Mauritius and its subsidiary entities and entities in which SACREIL has an ultimate ownership stake to contribute to, and support the financial decision-making process of the SAREA executive team and board.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Financial Management of SAREA:<\/p>\n<p>\tThe day-to-day financial management of SAREA is outsourced to Sanlam Investments (SI) Finance team and the role will be required to manage the relationship with SI Finance including:<br \/>\n\tReviewing monthly accounts and ensuring monthly reporting<br \/>\n\tPreparing the annual budget and updated forecasts<br \/>\n\tQuarterly management reporting to the SAREA Board and SI Alternatives Exco<\/p>\n<p>Outsourced Financial Management of SACREIL:<\/p>\n<p>\tSACREIL does not have any employees and is managed by its Board as assisted by the Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC) with certain investment and portfolio management functions outsourced to SAREA and other administrative, compliance and company secretarial functions outsourced to Intercontinental Trust Limited (ITL) and Lango Real Estate.<br \/>\n\tThe role is required to continue improvement of the internal financial controls across the SACREIL group of companies, and manage the relationship with the ARMC , ITL and Lango Real Estate with respect to:<br \/>\n\tManagement accounts, including the management accounts of all of SACREIL\u2019s subsidiaries and other investment entities in Mauritius and the relevant countries in which its properties are located<br \/>\n\tOversight of the internal valuations of the SACREIL property portfolio on a quarterly basis<br \/>\n\tQuarterly financial reporting to the ARMC and SACREIL Board<br \/>\n\tQuarterly reporting on the ARMC terms of reference checklist<br \/>\n\tPreparation of SACREIL\u2019s quarterly published accounts when required<br \/>\n\tReview of the calculation for quarterly Advisory fee due to SAREA<br \/>\n\tReview the dividend calculation per SACREIL\u2019s dividend policy and ensure regulatory compliance<br \/>\n\tLiaison with the auditors for the SACREIL and its underlying investee entities<br \/>\n\tPreparing SACREIL\u2019s annual financial statements (AFS) and annual report and providing oversight on the preparation of SACREIL\u2019s subsidiaries\u2019 AFS<br \/>\n\tLiaison with the tax advisors for the SACREIL group entities and review of tax computations<br \/>\n\tConsolidation of SACREIL\u2019s accounts into the Sanlam Group accounts semi-annually<br \/>\n\tPreparing SAREA\u2019s representation to SACREIL, and SACREIL\u2019s representation to Sanlam Group semi-annually<br \/>\n\tPreparing the SACREIL annual budget and updated forecasts and reviewing the in- country budgets<\/p>\n<p>Treasury Management:<\/p>\n<p>\tStrategically overseeing the Group\u2019s treasury function, ensuring elective liquidity management and cash flow monitoring.<br \/>\n\tUltimately enabling the 11 entities in the SACREIL Group to pass the going concern assumption.
