Job Description<\/p>\n
\tCreate a clear and actionable plant production plan, as aligned to the Mining Operations strategy.
\n\tProvide strategic leadership to Nitrates Operations
\n\tDirect and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, process optimization, and resource management.
\n\tContinuously evaluate plant operations for improvement opportunities
\n\tEnsure the plant can keep running to meet the required output levels, i.e. includes but not limited to, development and execution of a plant reliability strategy and plan.
\n\tDefine, design, and implement, plant efficiency and effectiveness (process) improvements
\n\tManage Asset Care in the Nitrates complex
\n\tEnsure execution of strategies to drive manufacturing excellence, focusing on improving efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
\n\tEnsure execution and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track manufacturing performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
\n\tDrive initiatives to enhance sustainability and environmental stewardship for the plant.
\n\tWill have risk and legal compliance authority \u2013 as appropriately delegated
\n\tDevelop accurate annual budgets and forecasts for capital and operational expenditures, aligned with corporate guidelines and priorities.
\n\tMonitor and manage costs to ensure efficiency, margin protection, and long-term financial sustainability.
\n\tConduct comprehensive risk assessments for the plant; ensure implementation and monitoring of mitigation plans.
\n\tEnsure compliance with internal governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and systems across all operational and commercial activities.
\n\tCompliance to EHS standards as related to the Plant as a National Key Point
\n\tEnforce compliance with SHE standards and drive a safety culture that supports zero-harm objectives.
\n\tEnsure safety and health, sustainability and quality standards are maintained and minimize incidents
\n\tEnsure compliance with Safety, Health and Environment standards (incl assuming the necessary legal appointments).
\n\tMaintain legal and regulatory compliance to uphold the plant\u2019s license to operate, including adherence to company standards and applicable legislation.
\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure execution and delivery of operational strategies and plans.
\n\tWork closely with front-end, sales, marketing, and technical teams to align on market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
\n\tRepresent AECI Mining in engagements with regulators, customers, suppliers, government entities, and industry bodies to advance business interests and maintain corporate reputation
\n\tPromote a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence through performance management and recognition practices.
\n\tMentor, coach, and develop direct reports and broader operational teams to build leadership depth and operational capability.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tChemical or Engineering degree
\n\tKnowledge of regulations relating to manufacturing and logistics
\n\tSupply and demand planning knowledge
\n\t9 \u2013 12 years production and manufacturing experience with 2 years senior operations management leadership
\n\tExperience in operations of chemical or explosives plants
\n\tExperience in world class manufacturing experience (Manufacturing Excellence)
\n\tExperienced in production management
\n\tKnowledge and application of key manufacturing systems and tools
\n\tTechnical knowledge of production
\n\tWorking knowledge of labour law
\n\tProduct and machinery knowledge<\/p>\n
