\tManage and contribute to the compilation of rehabilitation plans and financial provision estimates.
\n\tThorough understanding of soil science and how soils relate to rehabilitation.
\n\tBotanical knowledge in the context of successional plant species suitable for rehabilitation, within the context of the specific region within which the site falls (especially grasses that can be utilized for this purpose);
\n\tThorough understanding of different techniques and practical methods of rehabilitation that are both feasible and cost effective.
\n\tBasic background relating to wetland assessments and practical knowledge on the principles of wetland rehabilitation.
\n\tUnderstanding of ecological principles and the impacts of mining on these both pre and post mining.
\n\tLegal knowledge associated with rehabilitation, as well as international standards and guidelines.
\n\tIdentification of potential shortcomings related to existing sites that have previously been rehabilitated and how to address these shortcomings.
\n\tDevelopment of tailored monitoring protocols that can be implemented post rehabilitation, to monitor the success of the interventions.
\n\tMust be able to interact with multiple consulting disciplines.
\n\tParticipate in the marketing of the company\u2019s different rehabilitation services we offer (rehabilitation plans; rehabilitation monitoring and audits);
\n\tStrong background related to the mining industry.
\n\tMust be innovative and creative in the context of practical problem solving solutions.
\n\tGood verbal and writing skills.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBSc degree in Plant Science, Agriculture, Soil Science, Biology, Botany, Ecology or Natural Sciences (or similar)
\n\tMust have a driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
Work Experience<\/p>\n
\t5 or more years\u2019 practical knowledge or experience in similar roles.
\n\tAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/p>\n
