You\u2019ll improve the way we sell education, exploring new financing models (like student loans) and driving innovation in payment pathways to remove friction from the enrolment process.<br \/>\n\tOn the B2B side, you\u2019ll play a pivotal role in expanding our Learnerships offering with South African employers. You\u2019ll build trusted partnerships, position HyperionDev as the leading tech education partner, and co-create workforce development initiatives that deliver real ROI for our partners.<br \/>\n\tBeyond revenue ownership, you\u2019ll help shape our company culture and leadership practices. You\u2019ll define team structures, scale operations, and contribute to cross-departmental planning as a senior leader in the business.<br \/>\n\tAs HyperionDev expands internationally, you\u2019ll lead the commercial push to take our edtech offering into markets like the UK, US, and Europe. You\u2019ll forecast revenues, manage KPIs, and build scalable systems for international student admissions and enterprise sales. Your experience in commercial sales, team building, and operational execution will be essential to driving our next phase of growth.<br \/>\n\tThis role is ideal for a mission-driven, high-performance leader who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment, with a bias for execution and a sharp focus on outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>\tDrive Revenue Growth &amp; Sales Strategy<br \/>\n\tSet, manage, and deliver quarterly revenue targets across B2C and B2B education products.<br \/>\n\tDefine and execute commercial strategies for direct-to-consumer admissions and B2B Learnerships\/enterprise sales.<br \/>\n\tOptimise sales funnels and improve lead-to-sale conversion rates, working closely with marketing, data, and finance.<br \/>\n\tExplore and implement alternative student financing and payment models to boost enrolment and reduce friction.<\/p>\n<p>Build &amp; Lead High-Performing Teams<\/p>\n<p>\tLead and grow the Admissions, Learnerships, Collections, and Student Success teams.<br \/>\n\tSet and track individual and team KPIs, ensuring performance is aligned to business goals.<br \/>\n\tHire, train, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of accountability, motivation, and purpose.<br \/>\n\tManage departmental OKRs and contribute to broader leadership planning and strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Operational &amp; Data Excellence<\/p>\n<p>\tOversee the tracking, reporting, and analysis of admissions and revenue data to inform decision-making.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and address bottlenecks in the applicant journey and admissions pipeline.<br \/>\n\tMonitor team productivity, quality metrics, and student outcomes (onboarding, satisfaction, progression, and NPS).<br \/>\n\tImplement scalable systems and processes to support international growth and multi-region operations.<\/p>\n<p>Market Expansion &amp; Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n<p>\tCollaborate with Marketing on go-to-market strategies for new regions, factoring in local context, competition, and compliance.<br \/>\n\tBuild and nurture relationships with finance providers and Learnership stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tRepresent HyperionDev in key partner conversations and market development initiatives.<br \/>\n\tConduct ongoing competitor and market research to inform product positioning and sales strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Company-Wide Impact<\/p>\n<p>\tLead continuous improvement projects in revenue-related processes, especially within Admissions and Student Success.<br \/>\n\tContribute to cross-functional planning and leadership initiatives, helping shape organisational culture and direction.<br \/>\n\tChampion customer-centricity and impact-focused thinking across all touchpoints in the student journey.<\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>Minimum<\/p>\n<p>\tLeadership &amp; Team Management<br \/>\n\t10+ years of full-time experience in sales, business development, or commercial strategy<br \/>\n\t5+ years in a senior leadership role directly managing customer-facing sales teams of 5 or more reps (admissions, field sales, or SDRs)<br \/>\n\tProven success in leading revenue-focused teams, owning KPIs and performance outcomes (directly or via team leads)<\/p>\n<p>Sales Performance &amp; Execution<\/p>\n<p>\tDemonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets\u2014both individually and as a team leader<br \/>\n\tPrior experience building and scaling sales or sales development teams in a fast-growth startup or high-velocity environment<br \/>\n\tHands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage pipeline accuracy, forecasting, and performance reporting<br \/>\n\tStrong analytical skills: able to interpret sales data, optimise conversion funnels, and forecast revenue from spreadsheets and CRM dashboards<\/p>\n<p>Market &amp; Sector Knowledge<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong knowledge of enterprise education sales across South Africa, the UK, and the US \u2014 including Learnerships, Apprenticeships, student acquisition, and employer partnership models<br \/>\n\tExperience working cross-functionally with Marketing and Customer Success to drive alignment and efficiency across the revenue funnel<\/p>\n<p>Communication &amp;
