\tAn opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Contract Manager lI to manage financial and administration requirements as well as tyre tracking and costs.
\n\tContract management involves overseeing the creation, negotiation, execution, and maintenance of contracts between parties, typically within a business or organizational setting.
\n\tResponsible for the efficient, competitive and commercially viable operation and administration of the company’s distribution depots.
\n\tResponsible for all administration handling, storage, despatch and transportation of goods after receipt from the factories to the point of final delivery, in the correct quantity, quality, time and condition, as per the sales orders.
\n\tThis is to be achieved at optimum cost in order to ensure the best return for the company by continually meeting customers service needs.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDegree or Diploma in Road Transport or Logistics or a Degree in Management with financial electives
\n\t5-7 years’ experience in a Logistics and Supply Chain management environment
\n\t1-2 years for the most complex task (strategic planning focuses on the next year’s activities)
\n\tKnowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management
\n\tExperience in finance and financial analysis
\n\tKnowledge of logistics equipment and the associated maintenance requirements
\n\tGeneral knowledge of the operations and configurations of mechanical vehicles
\n\tKnowledge of general expense management \/ budgeting
\n\tHuman resources management skills
\n\tRelevant written and verbal contracts \/ service level agreements
\n\tExperience in KPI reporting
\n\tNational Bargaining Council Agreements<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial<\/p>\n
\tCompile and present annual budgets and periodic forecasts
\n\tMeasure monthly performance against budget
\n\tEnsure all administrative functions are conducted within the prescribed deadlines
\n\tStrict cost management
\n\tScreen all suppliers by comparing costs, quality products and BEE
\n\tAuthorize and submit cash book payments so that the costs are correctly allocated
\n\tReport weekly on projects contract revenue, kilometres and profits<\/p>\n
Operational<\/p>\n
\tEffective management of organisational assets and resources
\n\tDevelop and maintain procedures which relate to day to day operational requirements
\n\tMaximise asset utilisation
\n\tDay to day management of vehicle maintenance and tyres
\n\tDaily load planning and feedback
\n\tDaily management staff working hours and overtime<\/p>\n
Customer relations<\/p>\n
\tEffective customer relationship management
\n\tMonthly KPI reporting and operational feedback
\n\tIdentification and implementation of cost saving initiatives for the customer
\n\tAudit the quality of service provided through personal interaction with the customer on an ongoing basis and timeous corrective action is taken when required<\/p>\n
SHERQ<\/p>\n
\tIdentify, implement and maintain site\/ depot specific requirements as per legislation, policy and customer requirements
\n\tManage and control all assets that are acquired and disposed of according to the relevant procedure and ensure accurate recording Management of safety, health, environment and quality
\n\tImplement and manage an effective SHEQ system addressing all safety risks
\n\tDevelop a Workplace Skills Plan by assessing the development and training required by subordinates
\n\tEnforcing adherence to legislation, policies and procedures
\n\tEstablish and maintaining a safe working environment for staff
\n\tAccident and incident investigations and reporting<\/p>\n
