\n\tValid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or higher with SACAA, with Instrument Rating (Pilot must be rated on a Cessna 182 verbal pitch prop)\u00a0<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 500 hours flying experience. Preferably with experience in landing at short, unprepared airstrips.\u00a0<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPrinciple duty will be to fly Ezemvelo officials and Government officials to and from various Board controlled areas throughout KwaZulu-Natal, where the airfields used are mainly bush strips, situated in a game reserve.\u00a0
\n\tResponsible for providing support in aerial game counts all over KZN, as required.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure efficient and economical use of aircraft and associated resources, including the monitoring and authorization of expenditure within the approved budget.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure aircraft operations as well as flight safety by flight planning in compliance with SACAA regulations and executing safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations.\u00a0
\n\tAbility to confirm flight bookings as well as evaluate, communicate aircraft capabilities and limitations.\u00a0
\n\tExecute flights safely, adhering strictly to aviation legislation and internal procedures.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain and submit all required flight logs and documentation timeously and accurately.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain compliance with civil aviation regulations and contractual obligations by ensuring timely renewal of aircraft insurance, licensing documentation, and managing aviation-related contracts in line with internal and external regulatory requirements.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure continuous compliance with SACAA and other applicable aviation standards.\u00a0
\n\tAircraft Maintenance and Technical Oversight is to be achieved by ensuring that the aircraft is airworthy and well-maintained.\u00a0
\n\tCoordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to minimise downtime.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor aircraft performance, serviceability of equipment (e.g., radios, navigational aids).\u00a0
\n\tEnsure flight safety by reporting and resolving all technical and mechanical issues proactively.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain open communication with internal aircraft users to advise on procedures, scheduling, and limitations.\u00a0
\n\tAct as the liaison between Ezemvelo and aviation service providers (e.g., AMO, SACAA).\u00a0
\n\tProvide professional input and advice on operational and logistical matters related to conservation flights.\u00a0
\n\tIn terms of administration and record keeping, maintain comprehensive, compliant aviation records, keep updated and accurate records of personal flight logbook and aircraft flight folio.\u00a0<\/p>\n
