Main Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment and systems at the mine site, this role demands a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a challenging environment. The Field Services Technician will deliver high-quality customer service by ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of systems, guaranteeing their optimal operation.<\/p>\n
Education, experience and competencies<\/p>\n
\tQualified Artisan (Red Seal) Electrician or Automotive Electrician
\n\t3-5 years of experience in electronic installations – Strong knowledge of electronic systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
\n\tOwn Transport and valid driver’s license (willing to travel and work overtime)
\n\tMedically fit to work on a mine (Underground and surface)<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Installation & Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tAccurately install systems in line with technical specs and safety protocols , Conduct surveys and pre-install assessments
\n\tPerform routine maintenance and fault repairs
\n\tEnsure compliance with mine electrical\/mechanical standards
\n\tCommission and test systems, educating clients on use<\/p>\n
Technical Support<\/p>\n
\tProvide on-site troubleshooting
\n\tAssist in lab and field testing of new and existing systems<\/p>\n
System Optimisation<\/p>\n
\tMonitor performance and suggest system enhancements
\n\tWork with engineering to upgrade products and processes<\/p>\n
Documentation & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tCompile detailed service reports, COCs, audit records, and timesheets
\n\tKeep accurate records of technical work and client interactions<\/p>\n
Compliance & Safety<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to safety and mine site protocols
\n\tReport hazards\/incidents and maintain a clean, safe work environment<\/p>\n
