The tasks you’ll perform<\/p>\n
\tPerform all dealings with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and freight company personnel professionally, ethically and efficiently, to ensure the highest possible service levels.
\n\tCommunicate openly, professionally, ethically and efficiently at all times with all internal customers to ensure that the highest customer service level is achieved.
\n\tAdhere to the various project specific and company procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols required to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
\n\tResponsible and accountable for all expediting functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and\/or Project Manager.
\n\tResponsible and accountable for all logistics functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and\/or Project Manager.
\n\tEnsure all assigned purchasing processes are followed strictly in accordance with documented and authorised company procedures.
\n\tTo be assigned on a Project specific basis, and in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.<\/p>\n
The expertise you’ll bring<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary-level qualification, preferably in Supply Chain Management
\n\tMinimum of 5 years’ proven procurement experience in a similar role within mining projects
\n\tSouth African Citizen or Permanent Resident, based in Cape Town
\n\tStrong technical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills
\n\tSound knowledge of international and local purchasing, tendering, contract law, and freight regulations and practices
\n\tAbility to work independently while consistently delivering high-quality results within budget and schedule constraints
\n\tDemonstrated experience with computerised purchasing and logistics systems
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office
\n\tProven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and colleagues
\n\tStrong negotiation skills
\n\tSkilled in producing accurate and professional documentation and reports
\n\tEffective team player with a collaborative approach and knowledge-sharing mindset
\n\tStrong interpersonal skills and a practical, solution-oriented attitude
\n\tSelf-motivated with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills; able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
\n\tHigh level of integrity, credibility, and commitment
