\tComply with legislation\u2019s & Bylaws relating to the infection prevention & control portfolio & waste management (HCRW)
\n\tChair of the Infection Control committee meetings monthly – Link nurses
\n\tMember of the Antibiotic stewardship forum
\n\tInvestigation of all Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI)
\n\tCompile & Implement disease outbreak interventions
\n\tReview infection control practices in the hospital, simplify and streamline processes
\n\tAssist compiling, Implementation & compliance monitoring of IPC policies & work procedures
\n\tLaboratory surveillance & identifying risks organisms
\n\tReporting of notifiable diseases to the relevant authorities
\n\tImplementation & compliance monitoring of the relevant best care always bundle
\n\tWaste management operational functions
\n\tConduct and manage compliance of internal and external audits
\n\tProvide inhouse training needs in the abovementioned portfolio<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tSANC registration as a registered nurse
\n\tInfection Prevention & Control Qualification (certificate\/ diploma\/ experience)
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar role
\n\tExcellent communication skills
\n\tExcellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
\n\tCommitment to initiate and implement Infection prevention & control improvement programmes.
\n\tLeadership qualities and mentoring skills
\n\tExcellent MS Office computer skills, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint<\/p>\n
