\tDegree in Accounting or Investment Management or Financial Management
\n\tHonours Degree in Accounting or Investments or Financial Management (preferred)
\n\tStudying toward CA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA (preferred)
\n\tCompleted accounting articles (preferred)
\n\tAt least 2 \u2013 5 years\u2019 experience in accounting and or investments<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPerforming of the Investment Accounting function for Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited, Guardrisk Life Limited and Guardrisk Microinsurance Limited which includes the unitised and dedicated investments investment portfolios, for cell captive & contingency policy clients
\n\tAccurately, efficiently and timely accounting and reporting of investment related transactions of investment portfolios in the general ledger
\n\tReview and \/or prepare investment related payment documents and obtain the necessary source documentation and authorisation to effect payments timeously and within the determined service level agreement
\n\tReview all documentation to ensure that the correct level of authority has authorised the document and raise any exceptions with the relevant stakeholder
\n\tPreparation of investment and disinvestment instructions authorised according to the sub delegation of authority
\n\tCompletion of asset manager FICA documentation and safekeeping of confidential information
\n\tCompile and prepare monthly, quarterly and year end investment and interest reconciliations including monthly cashbook reconciliations
\n\tCompile quarterly asset allocation report for submission to the Reserve Bank and asset spreading recons to be used by the balance sheet management department
\n\tCompile adhoc monthly and quarterly reporting for internal and external stakeholders
\n\tCompletion of the new instrument data reconciliations to be included in the Group sector tree instrument allocation report
\n\tIdentify, report and resolve respective investment accounting or reporting issues
\n\tPortfolio support and management\/servicing by working closely with the portfolio accountants, portfolio manager and other stakeholders
\n\tAssist with Special Projects relating to Investments assigned within the group
\n\tMeeting company, investment and client accounting, payment and reporting deadlines
\n\tContribute to the enhancement of the investment systems and processes to enhance financial management
\n\tContribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas
\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with asset managers, clients as well as internal and external stakeholders
\n\tParticipate and contribute to a culture which build rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
\n\tPrepare and provide necessary documentation to complete timely audit for both the client and Guardrisk
\n\tContribute to the internal and external audit process and resolve any audit queries within the deadlines set

\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with asset managers, clients and internal and external stakeholders
\n\tDeliver on service level agreements made with internal and external asset managers, stakeholders and clients
