Overview<\/p>\n
\tThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the Rosslyn, South Africa site Operations organization focused on all aspects of manufacturing. This position is responsible for driving and supporting operational improvement that will increase OEE, throughput, and efficiency. \u00a0The incumbent will deliver impact and drive breakthrough performance through problem solving, data analytics, and the development and implementation of projects that improve process safety, quality, sustainability, cost, and reliability. \u00a0Additionally, the role drives a root cause analysis culture based on solid problem-solving platforms.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tOwn end-to-end manufacturing processes at the site
\n\tSupport the design process, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems.
\n\tOwn production data integrity while also analyzing the data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, safety, and sustainability.
\n\tLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues while coaching and developing others in PDCA methodology
\n\tImplement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n\tPartner with the Operations team to develop and maintain standard work instructions (SWP), process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
\n\tSupport new product or process introductions by collaborating with Site Engineering, SHE, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams.
\n\tCollaborate with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
\n\tIdentify and work on cost saving opportunities.<\/p>\n
Experience you\u2019ll bring:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in engineering or science – Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or other related field such as Industrial Technology
\n\t3 to 5 years\u2019 experience in the role of a manufacturing engineer or similar experience
\n\tProven ability to influence peers and cross-functional partners to drive teamwork and improve manufacturing capabilities
\n\tExhibits excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
\n\tAbility to tailor communication (e.g. content, style and medium) to connect with diverse audience from local to regional management
\n\tExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills
\n\tSolid project management skills and experience having an ability to handle and manage projects up to medium – high complexity
\n\tShows Integrity and Reliability, personal ownership and team player
\n\tHigh proficiency in English, both written and oral<\/p>\n
Behaviours you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, TPM, and Equipment Reliability strategies
\n\tHigh level of comfort in production and processing environments
\n\tExperience in the FMCG \/ CPG sector working with automated processing and packaging equipment.
\n\tExperience in a 24×7 environment<\/p>\n
