{"id":15439,"date":"2025-08-04T10:00:31","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T10:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/training-specialist-ug\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T00:24:45","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T00:24:45","slug":"training-specialist-ug","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=15439","title":{"rendered":"Training Specialist &#8211; UG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Role Context<\/p>\n<p>Resource Management<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide input into required changes in resources (financial or non-financial) to enable the achievement of team and\/or own objectives.<br \/>\n\tDetermine resource needs of the team and\/or own area of work to achieve business outcomes.<br \/>\n\tRequest and allocate required assets and\/or resources for the fulfilment of work objectives to guarantee quality outputs.<br \/>\n\tMonitor the use of assets and resources within the team and own area of responsibility, to ensure assets and resources are consistently and appropriately utilised and managed.<br \/>\n\tProvide staff with day-to-day direction and tasks aligned with Departmental procedures, to enable the usage of less resources more efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>Technical Training Program Design and Facilitation<\/p>\n<p>\tConduct comprehensive training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads, managers and subject matter experts so as to identify technical skill gaps and learning requirements across various mining job roles.<br \/>\n\tPerform general administrative duties and\/or applicable duties when required by the HOD\/Manager<br \/>\n\tAssist with budget control and cost saving.<br \/>\n\tEnsure of- or on-the-job assessments are conducted in line with MQA requirements, and that a pass rate of 100% is obtained<br \/>\n\tPerform regular PTO\u2019s in order to identify gaps in training areas.<br \/>\n\tDevelop specialised technical training programs, workshops, and hands-on training sessions focused on mining-specific topics such as mining operations, equipment operation, safety protocols, environmental practices, and mining regulations, to ensure optimal opportunity for the Tharisa Minerals (TM) workforce to build up the required skills and knowledge before application in their daily activity, as per their work requirements.<br \/>\n\tOversee the facilitation and facilitate technical training sessions for employees at various levels, utilising engaging instructional techniques and learning methodologies to ensure effective knowledge transfer.<br \/>\n\tPrioritise safety in all training programs, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and adherence to safety procedures, as established by the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Department, to promote a culture of safety and minimise workplace incidents.<br \/>\n\tUtilise learning technologies, audiovisual aids, simulators, and other technical training tools to enhance the training experience and support knowledge retention, to ensure an optimal learning experience.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in the development and administration of technical certification programs to validate the proficiency and competence of employees in critical mining functions.<br \/>\n\tEstablish assessment criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of technical training programs, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback to continuously improve training quality.<br \/>\n\tCreate and update training materials, manuals, visual aids, and e-learning resources to support technical training initiatives, so as to enhance the transferring of technical knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance Management<\/p>\n<p>\tOversee and monitor that all technical training programs align with industry regulations, mining laws, and safety standards, and provide relevant compliance training to employees, in order to train a competent that will meet the TM and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\tEnsure at all times that documentation is aligned and up to standard according to ISO 9001 and all other Company policies, procedures and standards.<br \/>\n\tEnsure on-the-job coaching is done according to guidelines based on business needs and gaps identified during investigations, inspections, audits etc<\/p>\n<p>Data Analytics and Continuous Learning<\/p>\n<p>\tStay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in mining operations so as to incorporate the latest tools and knowledge into training programs.<\/p>\n<p>People Management<\/p>\n<p>\tSupervise teams and manage their performance.<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective discipline and compliance with the Company disciplinary code.<br \/>\n\tMonitor clocking and ensure relevant payroll matters are handled.<br \/>\n\tHandling of team&#8217;s queries.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Relations<\/p>\n<p>\tCommunicate with all relevant Departments on issues of the area of speciality. Liaise across the relevant Departments by engaging with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders remain abreast of Departmental objectives, any potential derailers are appropriately managed and duplication of work is avoided.<br \/>\n\tCommunicate with internal and\/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with mining department heads, safety officers, and technical experts to gain insights, identify training needs, and align training programs with operational requirements, so as to ensure a safe learning environment that will address all the training needs of the relevant stakeholders and Tharisa Minerals (TM) employees.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\tGrade 12<br \/>\n\tDiploma or equivalent in Human Resources Development<br \/>\n\tBlasting ticket or trade certificate<\/p>\n<p>Certifications:<\/p>\n<p>\tAssessor certificate<br \/>\n\tModerator certificate<br \/>\n\tTrain-the-trainer certificate<br \/>\n\tTrade certificate in relevant technical qualification relating to Mining, Process, Engineering or equivalent<br \/>\n\tCertified Assessor and Moderator registered with SETA<br \/>\n\tAdvantageous: Certification as a Skills Development Facilitator<\/p>\n<p>Job specific experience:<\/p>\n<p>\tAt least five (5) years\u2019 technical experience<br \/>\n\tAt least two (2) years\u2019 training\/coaching experience and conducting assessments and moderations within the Mining Sector<br \/>\n\tAbility to work with the full Microsoft suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)<br \/>\n\tExperience\/Exposure on MS Dynamics F&amp;O, Reporting tools: MS Power BI<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>tharisa.mcidirecthire.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/tharisa.mcidirecthire.com","_company_name":"Tharisa","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"harisa is a European headquartered integrated resource group.
