Context of the Role<\/p>\n
\tThe Business Development Manager will identify, negotiate and close new customers across the African region, as a strong individual contributor. The right candidate will be target driven, with a passion and sense of ownership to deliver against target. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tBuild a robust pipeline based on defined \u2018ideal customer profiles\u2019, and grow and manage this to deliver on our ambitious growth plans and potential
\n\tHands on management of the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, negotiating commercial terms, working closely with senior stakeholders at prospects to close deals, and with internal and partner teams to delivery \u2018go lives\u2019
\n\tCarry and deliver an ambitious but achievable revenue target
\n\tProvide timely feedback to line manager about performance, sales activity, account management and strategy
\n\tInitiate and maintain a strong link between customers and back-office services to ease communication and facilitate the resolution of any issues
\n\tEffectively communicate the needs of your customers to the internal Thunes teams<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\t7+ years of experience in business development with 3+ years direct or indirect work experience in the Money Transfer, Fintech, payments or Mobile Financial Services Industries
\n\tHands-on, driven B2B salesperson from the fintech\/payments world, with industry contacts reflecting this background
\n\tResults-oriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiation
\n\tGreat networking skills
\n\tCRM proficiency, Salesforce CRM knowledge is a plus
\n\tFlexible, self-motivated, disciplined, takes ownership of job at hand
\n\tTeam-oriented, able to accept and create change
\n\tStrong understanding of customer, market dynamics and requirements
\n\tEnsure effective working relationships with all relevant clients\/partners, third parties and internal colleagues
\n\tStrong sense of initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
\n\tExcellent attention to detail
\n\tFluent in English other languages are a bonus!<\/p>\n
