\tAbsa Group Limited (AGL) is a leading African Bank with significant growth prospects across the continent. The Group Procurement Function is key in supporting the banks strategic goals of cost management, Enterprise and Supplier Development and Risk and Governance.
\n\tThe role holder will provide direct output support to the Category Manager Professional Services, through analytical capability and supply value chain knowledge<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/p>\n
ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tSupport the Category Manager and Head of Procurement by preparing information and analysis for negotiation processes and with the preparation of related documentation.
\n\tCollect and analyses quantitative and qualitative information to assess suppliers\u2019 capabilities and performance.
\n\tManage the RFP\/ RFQ\/ RFI processes and develops, executes, and analyses results.
\n\tEnsure contracts comply with contract standards, legislation and AGL policies.
\n\tCollects, investigates, and analyses information as requested by Category Manager and Head of Procurement using data from internal and external sources.
\n\tProvide input into commodity strategy development processes and supports implementation
\n\tAssist in commodity strategy execution\/rollout
\n\tEstablish, draft and manage strategic contracts
\n\tEvaluate suppliers and manage their performance in collaboration with Supplier Relationship Management.
\n\tMaintain constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers
\n\tParticipate constructively and drive personal development within category team.
\n\tRuns ad hoc reports and queries based on team requirements
\n\tDevelops, compiles and analyses statistical data for category management reports
\n\tAssist in the Development of Total Cost of Ownership and other cost improvement models
\n\tCollaborate and support Supplier Diversity Management in driving enterprise development and preferential procurement objectives.
\n\tCollaboration and interaction with broad procurement teams for the purpose of continuous strategy improvements
\n\tConduct market intelligence research to drive financial, analytical, and political reports for risk management.
\n\tPerform benchmarking on price, cost, and supply chain effectiveness.
\n\tExecute cost savings plans and track against targets.
\n\tLoad and maintain procurement documents on the repository system.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s qualification, preferably in Business, Commercial, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
\n\tPost Graduate Qualification will be an advantage
\n\t3 to 5 years of Experience in supply value chain environment or commercial analytical role
\n\tInterpersonal relationship through Cross Functional Teams collaboration
\n\tBusiness & Financial Acumen, Cost Management tools (e.g. TCO), Spend analysis, cost savings reports
\n\tProfessional services environment an added advantage
\n\tSupply Chain Tools Knowledge – Purchase orders, payment, supplier assessments
\n\tUnderstanding of commercial matters and business environment
\n\tStrong knowledge of contractual agreements and some exposure to relationship management
\n\tKnowledge of end-to-end Tender\/ sourcing process
\n\tHands on experience in working with Any Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) System e.g. SAP, Coupa etc.
\n\tExpert level efficiency in Microsoft Excel
\n\tStrong negotiation and presentation skills
\n\tStrong computer literacy (Word, Power Point, Visio) and Microsoft Office Suite is required
\n\tHigh Level analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)<\/p>\n

\tBachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)<\/p>\n
