The Role<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control through collaborating with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage the manufacturing engineering team by providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team’s success and professional growth.
\n\tDevelop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products or processes.
\n\tDrive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
\n\tMonitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
\n\tEnsure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
\n\tManage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
\n\tDevelop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control.
\n\tCollaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
\n\tProvide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output.
\n\tAppoint management representatives who shall have the authority and responsibility to ensure that the quality management system (QMS) is implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
\n\tMonitor compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
\n\tParticipate in preparation for ISO and SHEQ audits
\n\tLead the close out of findings from safety audits<\/p>\n
Your Profile<\/p>\n
\tMatric\/equivalent qualification
\n\tBachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
\n\tProven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
\n\tDemonstrated experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
\n\tKnowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment.
\n\tFamiliarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
\n\tStrong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals and objectives.
\n\tExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, machining, fabrication, and automation.
\n\tProficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
\n\tStrong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
\n\tProficiency in CAD\/CAM software and other engineering tools.
\n\tKnowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO standards.
\n\tFamiliarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in manufacturing operations.
\n\tStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to drive process improvements and optimization.
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tPhysical and medical ability to work in a mining environment
\n\tComputer literacy
\n\tEnglish proficiency
\n\tValid driver’s license<\/p>\n
