\n\tIn this role, you’ll shape financial strategy, ensure compliance, and drive business performance across multiple divisions. You’ll be the go-to expert for financial governance, tax, treasury, and accounting, while also acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.<\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Do:<\/p>\n
\tRepresent Abbott Finance at the highest level\u2014internally and externally.
\n\tEnsure the integrity of financial records and compliance with all statutory and tax regulations.
\n\tLead financial reporting under US GAAP and local standards.
\n\tProvide strategic financial counsel to divisional leaders and corporate functions.
\n\tOversee payroll, statutory reporting, and tax compliance across South Africa and Kenya.
\n\tAct as the Senior Accounting Officer and primary liaison with SARS.
\n\tDrive cross-divisional projects and lead change initiatives across the affiliate.
\n\tEnsure robust corporate governance and lead Board-level financial responsibilities.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in finance or accounting.
\n\tMUST be Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years + years in senior finance leadership.<\/p>\n
Preference experience:<\/p>\n
\tDeep expertise in US GAAP, local GAAP, corporate tax, and VAT.
\n\tProven experience in multinational, multi-functional environments.
\n\tEntity Reporting experience in a multi-national multi-functional business environment.
\n\tStrong communication skills\u2014able to translate complex financial concepts for all audiences.
\n\tA proactive, strategic mindset with a passion for excellence and compliance.<\/p>\n
