We\u2019re looking for a passionate Financial Accountant to join our NBL Westmead Biscuits in Westmead, Durban. The purpose of the role will be an integral part of the Finance function providing support to the Finance Manager, Cost Accountant, Finance Team and Site Management. The incumbent is expected to be detail orientated with the ability to analyse data, reconciliation and reporting (daily, weekly and monthly).<\/p>\n
Key Areas of Impact:<\/p>\n
Cost Accounting<\/p>\n
\tCompare & report on standard labour hours planned vs labour hours actual
\n\tManning review and maintenance of the manning levels model
\n\tAssist with annual Activity Based Costing budgets
\n\tReview, investigation and posting of process variances<\/p>\n
SAP PROCESSES<\/p>\n
\tOversee and assist with Production Manual Confirmations on SAP & check-up on error report
\n\tSundry Invoicing and Credit Notes.
\n\tReview daily GL Accounts Budget vs. Investigate abnormal variances.
\n\tAssist with Requisition Processing of Monthly Commitments.
\n\tCost centre management – Review all transactions on SAP, correct Cost Centre and Cost Element
\n\tEnsure all costs are recorded in the correct period, to the correct accounts per the company rules
\n\tManage SAP user access and risks on site (GRC)<\/p>\n
Financial Accounting<\/p>\n
\tAssist Financial Manager in Internal and External Audit Review
\n\tReview & Audit processes\/procedures with entrenched financial\/control risk on site
\n\tTimeous and Accurate Sundry Customer Invoice processing. Timeous update and analysis of Sundry Debtors.
\n\tEnsure all operational expenditure is processed before month end closures. Process provisions\/accrual journals where necessary.
\n\tAssist in the administration and management of all non-production site contracts
\n\tPreparation of budgets & forecasts monthly, quarterly and annually per cost centre & GL
\n\tPrepare monthly Financial Journals.<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting<\/p>\n
\tBudget\/Forecasts vs. Actual.
\n\tReport on irregular variances that have been investigated.
\n\tAssist with compilation of month-end and year-end reports
\n\tReview Cost Report transactions and report on Budget vs. Actual.
\n\tMonthly Reconciliations of key ledger accounts.
\n\tAssisting with Yearly Budget and Forecast Compilation and Process<\/p>\n
Asset Management<\/p>\n
\tMonthly maintenance, verification and reporting on fixed asset register
\n\tAssist in CAPEX workflows for the acquisitions, transfer or disposal of Fixed Assets
\n\tPrepare, submit and track CAPEX workflows for the acquisitions, transfer or disposal of Fixed Assets.
\n\tConduct regular Audit on Fixed Assets to ensure accuracy of fixed asset register
\n\tResponsible for Maintenance of Site Fixed Asset Register
\n\tCoordination of Asset Verifications Half Yearly and at Year End<\/p>\n
Stock Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist with Monthly, Half Yearly and Annual Stock Counts
\n\tCompile Monthly B&R Reconciliations and reporting.
\n\tAd Hoc Assistance to Cost Accountant
\n\tAssist with process order closure
\n\tAssist with Product Costing<\/p>\n
Labour Management<\/p>\n
\tCreate labour rosters for use by factory & HR. Update labour standards periodically.
\n\tMass Balance of Site Waste and Rejects
\n\tOversee and reconcile waste registers to weighbridge (mass balance). Reconcile SAP to Service Provider invoices & credit notes (Sustainability Report) \u2013 follow-up and apply appropriate controls to eliminate discrepancies. Reconcile of waste service providers.<\/p>\n
