{"id":15682,"date":"2025-08-06T10:02:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T10:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/regional-manager-kwazulu-natal-business-development-manager\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T00:24:42","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T00:24:42","slug":"regional-manager-kwazulu-natal-business-development-manager","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=15682","title":{"rendered":"Regional Manager &#8211; KwaZulu Natal \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Business Development Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Key Accountabilities<\/p>\n<p>\tOversee that new and existing UMA portfolios are analysed and evaluated effectively within delegated authority limits to achieve agreed levels of underwriting performance.<br \/>\n\tProgress the sales and underwriting strategy and business plan for the Region that will establish the business unit as a centre of excellence for sales and underwriting execution.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that all monthly processes and production of management reports for each UMA are completed and well managed.<br \/>\n\tDeliver a targeted underwriting profit coupled to targeted growth across the portfolio and managing the regional expense ratio and spend.<br \/>\n\tOptimisation of sales and underwriting related activities across the Region by building a robust sales and underwriting strategy and executing on it,<br \/>\n\tManage and measure all activities through deploying best of breed practices coupled to learning and development of staff.<br \/>\n\tDriving the development of new broker relationships and the management of existing broker relationships across the country<br \/>\n\tImplementation of effective and efficient business processes to deliver a better customer service and reduce expenses within the business unit.<br \/>\n\tInfluence current and future sales and underwriting strategies.<br \/>\n\tDrive the culture to optimise performance<br \/>\n\tTrack and manage expenses, regional as well as individual costs per staff member, i.e. cellphones, fuel etc<br \/>\n\tEnsure alignment between marketing initiatives through prioritisation of sales initiatives.<br \/>\n\tInfluence the decisions around the development of sales channels by participating in decisions around new and current channels<br \/>\n\tReport on variances for the utilisation and establishment of sales and underwriting performance measurements to the appropriate leadership structures<br \/>\n\tCultivate a customer centric culture through continuous communication of a customer service strategy to ensure customer orientation and focus across the Region<br \/>\n\tConduct in-depth investigations, where recurring issues are identified that relate to the sales or underwriting performance to ensure that corrective and preventative measures are put in place.<br \/>\n\tEnsure sales and underwriting planning is linked to optimal customer experience.<br \/>\n\tSet, optimise and align governance framework to ensure alignment to strategy and optimal customer experience.<br \/>\n\tMonitor effectiveness of current sales initiatives and make recommendations to future programmes.<br \/>\n\tMonitor effectiveness of sales campaigns to ensure optimal execution and instruct that reparative actions be taken where required.<br \/>\n\tMeet or improve on the targeted loss ratio.<br \/>\n\tEstablish stakeholder needs and expectations in order to develop effective stakeholder engagement plans.<br \/>\n\tUpdate the leadership and staff on a monthly basis and provide operational input on the regional performance.<br \/>\n\tMeet with brokers on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p>Qualification &amp; Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tB-degree in Commerce, Sciences, Business Administration, or Finance \/ equivalent<br \/>\n\tGraduate calibre with 10 years+ short term insurance industry experience<br \/>\n\tProven experience in leading and managing teams<br \/>\n\tPrevious experience in senior management role<br \/>\n\tProven experience with brokerages, and a strong market profile a distinct advantage<br \/>\n\tFAIS compliant<br \/>\n\tKI\/RE1<br \/>\n\tRE 5 Product<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.brytesa.com ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"Bryte Insurance Company Limited","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.brytesa.com","_company_tagline":"Bryte Insurance Company Limited is the premier, proactive commercial risk specialist in Southern Africa.
