Mechanical Design Engineer<\/p>\n
\tOne of our clients, a leading manufacturer in Springs, Gauteng, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team.
\n\tThis role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on turning ideas into robust, high-quality designs.
\n\tThe ideal candidate will bring a strong passion for innovation and a successful track record in mechanical design solutions within a manufacturing environment.
\n\tThe successful candidate need to come with at least 3 years\u2019 experience in Mechanical designing.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master\u2019s degree advantageous).
\n\t3 to 5 years of solid experience in mechanical design engineering.
\n\tExpertise in 3D CAD modelling, with proficiency in SolidWorks.
\n\tHands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
\n\tVehicle and valid Driver\u2019s License.
\n\tFamiliarity with relevant mechanical design regulations and compliance standards.<\/p>\n
Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tTransform client requirements and project objectives into innovative, functional product designs, ensuring design feasibility and performance.
\n\tCreate detailed and precise 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
\n\tManage the prototyping phase by collaborating with production and R&D teams to develop functional prototypes, ensuring thorough testing and refinement.
\n\tConduct detailed design validation through simulations, FEA, and real-world testing to guarantee product reliability and compliance with engineering standards.
\n\tPartner with teams in manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management to ensure seamless transition from design to production, addressing any design-related challenges.
\n\tStay informed on industry advancements and emerging technologies, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
\n\tPrepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project progress updates, ensuring traceability and clear communication.
\n\tEnforce strict quality control processes throughout the design phase, ensuring all engineering designs meet internal and external compliance standards.<\/p>\n
