Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tTo prepare, sterilize and safely store\/pack healthcare equipment and ensure sufficient supply of medical equipment at all times.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent level of education is essential.
\n\tCSSD Sterilization Courses will be advantageous.
\n\tScope technician and or management preferable.
\n\t1 to 3 years\u2019 experience in a CSSD environment or a private hospital setting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum Job Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the accurate daily testing of the autoclave to ensure it effectively sterilizes equipment in theatre.
\n\tEnsure the cleaning and sterilization of all equipment and materials according to the standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements.
\n\tEnsure the hygienic and sterile packaging and sealing of any theatre equipment or prosthesis according to standard operating procedures.
\n\tAdhere to infection Control practices and procedures.
\n\tEnsure that equipment is fully operational to avoid downtime.
\n\tEnsure that all stock requirements are managed closely to avoid wastage and avoidable costs.
\n\tAdhere to standards and procedures to reduce cost and report associated risks to the Theatre Manager.<\/p>\n
