This role provides strategic leadership across key HR areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy development, compliance, and organizational development. The Head of HR plays a pivotal role in cultivating a productive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture at the company.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\nEducation (Formal Qualification Required)<br \/>\nMinimum:<\/p>\n<p>\tDiploma\/Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.<br \/>\n\tProfessional HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.<br \/>\n\t8\u201312+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3\u20135 years in a senior leadership role.<br \/>\n\tIn-depth knowledge of Labour Law and HR best practices.<br \/>\n\tStrong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.<br \/>\n\tProven experience in organizational development and strategic planning.<br \/>\n\tAbility to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Legal Requirements<br \/>\nMinimum:<\/p>\n<p>\tValid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n<p>Experience and Knowledge<br \/>\nMinimum:<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum of 3 years HR experience<br \/>\n\tSolid IR, Union negotiations experience<br \/>\n\tGood understanding and knowledge of current and relevant labour legislation<br \/>\n\tMinimum 1-year industry knowledge<br \/>\n\tGood working knowledge of MS Office (Teams, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel \u2013 preferred)<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Areas (KPAs) \/ Main Outputs and Responsibilities<br \/>\nStrategy<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives (talent acquisition, performance management, employee development)<br \/>\n\tPromote a culture of accountability, safety, customer focus, and operational efficiency<br \/>\n\tServe as a strategic partner to the executive team<br \/>\n\tOversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes<\/p>\n<p>Compliance &amp; Legislation \/ Internal Controls<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure adherence to all labour legislation (BCEA, etc.)<br \/>\n\tGuide management on compliance and reduce legal risk<br \/>\n\tMaintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR policies and contracts are up to date and acknowledged<\/p>\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure accurate job grading and salary alignment<br \/>\n\tMaintain REMCO-approved benefits consistency<br \/>\n\tRegularly review benefit offerings for competitiveness<\/p>\n<p>Performance Management<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport operational performance management, tracking progress and actions<br \/>\n\tGuide managers and staff through performance cycles<br \/>\n\tMaintain accurate records and manage poor performance processes<\/p>\n<p>Industrial Relations (IR)<\/p>\n<p>\tEngage with unions, bargaining councils, CCMA, etc.<br \/>\n\tLead labour negotiations and manage disputes<br \/>\n\tTrain line managers on hearings and ensure legal compliance<br \/>\n\tProvide expert guidance on disciplinary matters<\/p>\n<p>Employment Equity (EE)<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure all divisions within the company remain fully compliant with EE legislation<br \/>\n\tMaintain functional EE Committees<br \/>\n\tOrganize EE meetings, audits, and training<\/p>\n<p>Occupational Health &amp; Safety (OHS)<\/p>\n<p>\tOversee compliance with the OHS Act<br \/>\n\tImplement control standards and coordinate annual OHS audits<\/p>\n<p>Training and Development<\/p>\n<p>\tDiagnose skill gaps and implement development plans<br \/>\n\tPartner with Learning Specialists<br \/>\n\tCoach line managers for performance improvement<\/p>\n<p>Ad hoc<\/p>\n<p>\tLead HR projects and change initiatives<br \/>\n\tPerform other HR-related duties as required<\/p>\n<p>Deadline:18th August,2025<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>ellahi.simplify.hr<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/ellahi.simplify.hr","_company_name":"Ellahi Consulting","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"We at Ellahi Consulting, are committed to deliver sound conceptual thinking and excellent customer centric results from design through to delivery and post implementation support, as fit-for-purpose and practical solutions are important to us.
