About the Opportunity<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for an experienced Linux \/ Systems \/ Network Engineer to join a growing infrastructure team at a leading organization undergoing a major technology transformation.
\n\tAs the company modernizes its on-premise infrastructure and prepares for a hybrid future, you’ll play a critical role in building, supporting, and maintaining stable and secure systems. This is not a cloud-native DevOps role its hands-on, infrastructure-focused, and highly technical, ideal for engineers who thrive working at the systems and networking layer of enterprise environments.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tProvision and configure VMware virtual machines to support evolving infrastructure needs
\n\tInstall, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
\n\tSupport systems across multiple environments (development, staging, production)
\n\tConfigure and manage critical network services and components, including:
\n\tDNS servers and records
\n\tTLS\/SSL certificates
\n\tLoad balancers (front-end\/back-end rules)
\n\tFirewall and routing rules
\n\tTroubleshoot and optimize system and network performance
\n\tAssist in the integration of APIs for internal systems and services
\n\tImplement and support security protocols in line with compliance requirements
\n\tCollaborate with the Infrastructure\/IS Operations Manager to ensure system reliability and business continuity
\n\tCreate and maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and configuration standards<\/p>\n
Must-Have Skills & Experience<\/p>\n
\t5-10 years in roles such as Linux Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Administrator
\n\tStrong command of Linux operating systems:
\n\tSystemd, kernel tuning, package management, file systems
\n\tSolid understanding and hands-on experience with enterprise networking:
\n\tDNS, SSL\/TLS, load balancers, routing and firewall configuration
\n\tExperience working in on-prem or hybrid environments
\n\tStrong Bash or Python scripting for automation and maintenance
\n\tSkilled in system-level monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning
\n\tFamiliarity with VMware virtualization<\/p>\n
Nice-to-Have<\/p>\n
\tExposure to DevOps or infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins)
\n\tExperience with hybrid cloud setups (e.g., AWS, Azure), though not core to the role
\n\tUnderstanding of security tools and practices, such as multi-factor authentication, data encryption, etc.
\n\tPrevious experience supporting IS Operations or enterprise platforms<\/p>\n
