Purpose of the Job:<\/p>\n
\tTo manage the day-to-day cash flow and investment functions of the FSCA, including the accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of cash and non-current assets. To maintaining the asset register, performing monthly and annual financial processes, and liaising with banking partners. The person appointed to this position will report to the Senior Manager Finance.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts.
\n\tInitiate and process inter-bank transfers to ensure optimal liquidity levels.
\n\tRecommend and execute investment of surplus funds in line with FSCA\u2019s policy.
\n\tMonitor bank account balances and transactions to ensure proper utilisation and reconciliation.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of investment transactions and account movements.
\n\tPrepare and post monthly investment journals to the general ledger.
\n\tReconcile investment and call accounts to general ledger and bank statements.
\n\tEnsure compliance with investment policies and risk management guidelines.
\n\tMaintain an up-to-date fixed asset register in accordance with GRAP and internal policies.
\n\tMonitor the acquisition, disposal, depreciation, and impairment of assets.
\n\tCoordinate and oversee the annual asset verification process and prepare reports.
\n\tConduct the annual useful life assessment of assets and update records accordingly.
\n\tPrepare and review monthly reconciliations for cash, investment, and asset accounts.
\n\tEnsure that all entries are supported by appropriate documentation and are compliant with accountingstandards.
\n\tAssist in the preparation of financial statements and year-end audit schedules related to treasury andassets.
\n\tRespond to internal and external audit queries related to cash and asset management.
\n\tProvide supporting documentation and schedules for financial reporting and audits.
\n\tPrepare monthly and annual reports on treasury performance and asset status.
\n\tLiaise with banks and financial service providers to manage accounts, signatories, and transactional issues.
\n\tMonitor and ensure the implementation of changes to banking processes or regulatory requirements.
\n\tAct as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders on treasury matters.<\/p>\n

\tThe candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Attention to detail, problem-solving, planning and prioritisation, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written communication), customer orientation, analytical skills, and customer relations skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software packages. familiar with financial systems (e.g., Pastel, SAP, or similar ERP platforms). The candidate will be subjected to competency assessment and integrity checks before an appointment is made.
