Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Production Support<\/p>\n
\tEnsures troubleshooting of BI tools, systems and software.
\n\tAbility to track performance and production issues.
\n\tEscalates production issues as appropriate.
\n\tMonitors and supports scheduled ETL and cube refresh jobs, ensuring successful completion and accurate data loads into reporting systems.
\n\tTakes ownership of job validation, proactively identifying and resolving failures or delays that may impact data availability or quality.
\n\tParticipates in a rotational working shift schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to support critical business operations and ensure continuous system availability.
\n\tDocuments production incidents, escalates issues as appropriate, and provides clear communication to stakeholders regarding the status and resolution of job-related issues.
\n\tTracks and reports on system performance and production issues; may assist in performance tuning of BI applications for optimal efficiency.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Implementation:<\/p>\n
\tAbility to implement Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Microsoft BI stack \u2013 MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI.
\n\tResponsible for the creation of Stored procedures, dashboards, reports and ETL processes.
\n\tLearn, use and maintain an established set of tools and technologies, as necessary.
\n\tMust be able to follow project Specifications, incorporate coding standards and policies.
\n\tMust be able to provide support on the report offerings.
\n\tParticipates in or supports workstream planning processes.
\n\tCollaborates with the Business Analysts to understand customer needs.
\n\tKeeps customers informed about business intelligence tool problems and resolutions, timeously.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Develop and Implement<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for collecting, analysing and sharing of data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results.
\n\tUtilizes database and web application technologies to investigate and evaluate processes and can suggest innovative ways of identifying errors.
\n\tDevelops and tests BI solutions such as databases, queries, views, reports, and dashboards.
\n\tAssists in data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
\n\tDocuments new and existing models, solutions and implementations.
\n\tDesign and build reporting and analysis tools that help streamline the business and make reporting, analysing, planning and forecasting more efficient.
\n\tSupports and assists with the integration of BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for Performing Quality checks on all work before giving approval to the stakeholder.
\n\tEnsures the collected data is within required quality standards.
\n\tMay maintain the quality of Metadata Repository by adding, modifying, and deleting data.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tDegree or diploma in IT or related technical discipline. \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tMinimum 1+ years proven experience in Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SQL).
\n\tExperience in end-user report development.\u00a0
\n\tExperience with data staging (ETL) components.\u00a0
\n\tAbility to support and update existing products, and debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting BI solutions.
\n\tAbility to create efficient T-SQL objects and processes according to spec (databases, tables, stored procedures, business rules and functions).
\n\tExperience in T-SQL query optimization, troubleshooting and debugging.
\n\tUnderstanding of database management systems, online analytical processing and ETL framework.
\n\tCommunicate with various departmental team members to understand the business requirements.
\n\tKnowledge of the Kimball data warehouse lifecycle.
\n\tRelevant Microsoft SQL certifications.<\/p>\n
