MAIN PURPOSE:<\/p>\n
\tThe HSE officer will be responsible for daily monitoring, reporting and awareness of health, safety & environment \u00a0tasks in the plant.<\/p>\n
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tAdminister and coordinate Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across all operational areas.
\n\tRoll out and facilitate HSE initiatives, including safety inductions and technical guidance, to enhance awareness and proactively identify and mitigate risks on-site.
\n\tConduct safety and health training for employees and supervisors to embed a culture that prioritizes HSE, aiming to reduce risks and associated costs.
\n\tPrepare and submit regular reports, updates, and incident data to the Senior HSE Officer and HSE Manager SSA.
\n\tParticipate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
\n\tConduct routine safety inspections to detect unsafe conditions or practices, with follow-up reports and corrective action plans.
\n\tReview and update job-specific risk assessments (routine and non-routine), ensuring effective implementation of control measures.
\n\tMonitor contractor compliance with HSE contractual obligations, including supervision, safety awareness, and documented risk controls.
\n\tEvaluate fire risks across all plant areas, recommending appropriate fire protection systems, manual extinguishers, and firewater networks based on hazard types and coverage needs.
\n\tEnsure ongoing functionality and accessibility of firefighting equipment through routine inspections and maintenance follow-ups.
\n\tMaintain and communicate the plant’s emergency response plan, ensuring readiness through regular training and drills for emergency response teams.<\/p>\n
